We'll be spending the evening at a beach bar in Ipanema on Thursday night. It's just a short walk from our group accommodation, and right off of the beach.

It'll be a casual meet-up, and guests can come and go as they please. Live music starts at 7:00 pm, so we recommend arriving a bit earlier to ensure you can get a table. The space is large enough to accommodate a big group, and allows for people to stand and mingle outside of their seats.

We're meeting up at a studio in Copacabana for a fun one-hour samba lesson. Transportation is not provided, but it'll be a quick Uber ride away, about a mile down the road. Afterwards, we'll head to Lapa to find a Samba club with live music where we can practice our new moves. Transportation to the samba club will be provided, but everyone will make their own way back to their accommodation afterwards. Uber will be the easiest option here.

Cost is about $50 per person. Includes: A one-hour samba lesson with an English-speaking instructor, transportation from the studio in Copacabana to the samba club in Lapa, and entrance fees to the club. Food and drinks are available for purchase at the samba club, but not included in the ticket price. 


Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 pm, so we are recommending for our guests to arrive a bit early. For those staying in our group hotel, we will arrange transportation between the hotel and venue.

We are planning to meet up with our guests one last time for a post-wedding lunch before everyone departs. Rio Brasa is not far from our group hotel, and is actually located right near the Botanical Garden and Parque Lage, so if you are following our recommended 3-day itinerary from the guide, this would be great to pair with day 3.

The price is R$273 (reais) per person, or roughly $50 USD, and it includes the full rodizio buffet (plus the salad and suchi bars!), two beverages (water, soda, or beer), a dessert, an espresso, and all service charges. Children ages 6 to 10 are half price, and children 5 and under are free. Payment will be made on site directly with the restaurant after dining.
